The new IFMA Foodservice Supply Chain Optimization Board kicked off on March 8th in Las Vegas. There is still time to join the board and create best practices with 13 leading chain operators. Operators, manufacturers and distributors began the quest to collaboratively develop the first ever best practices to deliver a more efficient and effective supply chain.

The goal of this initiative – which builds off IFMA’s Operator Collaboration Model – is to create best practices that drive sales by ensuring product in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantity.  This group of over 60 industry thought-leaders came together for the first of four meetings to get to the heart of the inefficiencies and begin developing solutions and tools that will benefit the entire foodservice supply chain.

It’s not too late to join this prestigious board.  A webinar for participants not able to attend the first meeting will be held on Thursday, March 30.  The second Supply Chain Optimization board meeting will be held on April 20th in Chicago, with a networking event held the evening of April 19thClick here to see all participating board members.
